As you are living life you must make sure to be aware that everything you do has a consequence, and as such you should make decisions that will yield the most positive consequences possible.
Sometimes in life you have to watch how others treat a situation before you are able to predict the best outcome that will be the best option for you to undertake.
If a person makes mistakes throughout their entire life, only that person would decide if they would make the same mistakes if they could or if they would learn from those set-backs and move foreward.
Occassionally in your life you get a chance to hit the redo button, so you should learn from the mistakes you have made and remember the leasons that you have learned, so if you do get a chance to hit the redo button you won't make the same mistake twice.
